GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

I am proud to be Headteacher at The Beacon and I feel privileged to be able to work each day with such exceptional students and staff. I am excited to be able to lead the school on the next chapter of its journey towards excellence.  We are a dynamic and vibrant community where everyone is individually valued. Our aim as a school is to provide a world-class education where students can fulfil their potential and grow into happy, kind and well-rounded individuals. We strive for students to develop their resourcefulness and resilience, accept responsibility and be challenged to take risks in order to learn and succeed.

World Down Syndrome Day is on 21 March. The goal is to help people understand and support those with Down syndrome better.
