GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

KS4 Sociology Curriculum Intent:

  • To equip students with knowledge of the social world that is relevant to their experience.
  • To give students confidence in answering questions specifically for AQA GCSE Sociology specification.
  • To nurture confidence in extended writing and communication of ideas and debates.
  • To ensure students are challenged and supported in their learning.
  • To instil the values of critical thinking that are inherent to Sociology.
  • To encourage students to be able to articulate their voice through high standards of literacy and oracy.
