Food Preparation and Nutrition Curriculum Intent:
- To develop the practical skills to create healthy meals
- To explore and develop their understanding of a balanced diet, and safety practices in the kitchen
- To develop technical skills in cutting, hob and oven management and cleaning.
- To ensure lessons are accessible for all students regardless of their practical ability
- To broaden students knowledge of healthy diets
- To master a broad range of vocabulary within the topic and to be able to verbalise their learning
