Music Curriculum Intent:
Music at The Beacon School isn’t just about what we do – it’s about who we are and how it shapes our identity as individuals and within a community. The Beacon Music curriculum:
- Inspires students to explore musical traditions and cultures that reflect and contrast their own experiences.
- Connects students with music through performing, composing, listening and internalisation of sound, while developing a curiosity for how sound affects us as human beings.
- Responds creatively and musically through performance, composition and production at all levels and champions the value music plays in society.
